Urgent: Dismissal arrangement for OPOM

Dear Choir Members,
Please note that for the coming 27 and 28/6/14, OPOM,there are some changes advised by the organizer.
The new dismissal plan:
All Nan Hua choir members will go back to school by the bus provided by the organizer, all parents will fetch their children from school.

"Pick-up Point for Parents

In our traffic advisory dated 23 May 2014, we had mentioned that we will designate a meeting point near OCBC ARENA, our participant holding area, for parents who intend to pick up their children from Sports Hub. After much deliberation with the relevant authorities, with the children’s safety in mind, it is decided that there will be no pick-up point at Sports Hub for parents to fetch their children after the events on 27 & 28 June.

The police advised that the students should take the chartered transport back to schools if they are not dismissed on-site to take public transport home.

As there will be no parking space available in the vicinity for private cars and we are expecting close to 30,000 spectators at Sports Hub on concert day, it will be more convenient and straightforward  for parents to fetch their children from the respective schools instead. Each participating group from schools will be dismissed as a whole once the teacher(s)-in-charge confirm that all students in the group are present and are ready to board the bus(es). If a parent were to fetch his/her child from Sports Hub, a teacher definitely must stay with the child until the parent arrives. By not having a pick-up point for parents on-site, we can avoid the situation whereby the whole group has to be held back while waiting for parents to pick up some of the students."
